This project began with the client's preference for red. Rather than simply introducing a color into the space, we wanted to explore why it belonged there.
Drawing from the history of red in traditional barber poles, the name Christian Barbershop, and the values held by its owner, we chose a deep wine tone over a bright, vivid red — a color that carries a sense of time and depth.
The deep wine tone forms an architectural frame at the heart of the space, naturally drawing attention to the barber's craft. The daily repetition of cutting and shaving, the subtle habits of the hands, and the precision of each movement become a way of working and a quiet ritual. Over time, these repeated acts shape a distinct culture and a set of beliefs that define the barber.
